Hand Ranking

Standard five & Seven-card Poker hands are ranked here in order of strength,

from the weakest Poker hand to the strongest.  

High Card
If a Poker hand contains none of the Below combinations, it's valued by the highest card in it. (e.g. 7)

.Pair
Two cards of the same value (e.g.: J, J).

Two Pair
Two separate pairs (e.g.: 7, 7, Queen, Queen).

Three of a Kind
Three cards of the same value (e.g.: 8, 8, 8; or Jack, Jack, Jack).

Straight
Five cards in sequence, but not in the same suit (e.g.: 9 of Hearts, 10 of Clubs and Jack of Diamonds, Queen of Clubs, King of Clubs).

Flush
Any five cards of the same suit, but not in sequence (e.g.: A, 2, 6, Jack and 9 of Spades).

Full House
Three of a kind combined with a pair (e.g.:King, King with 3, 3, 3 or 10, 10, 10 with 6, 6).

Four of a Kind
All four cards of the same value (e.g.: or Queen, Queen, Queen, Queen or  8, 8, 8, 8;).

Straight Flush
Any five-card sequence in the same suit (e.g.: 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 of Hearts; or 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 of Diamonds).

Royal Flush
the best possible hand in Poker
Ace, King, Queen, Jack and 10, all of the same suit.
